From fast-paced Fortune 500 companies, to mid-sized creative agencies, and small bootstrapped start-ups, Alanna has an extensive and varied background in solving user problems through thoughtful design. Ask Alanna and she’ll tell you that her love for design began while attending vocational high school in a small town (near her even smaller hometown) in New England. Her journey as a user experience professional then began in 2008 after completing her Bachelor of Science degree in computer graphics and new media from Johnson and Wales University.
As many user experience designers, the early years of her career started in website design and development, but then quickly transitioned to focus on designing delightful user experiences at some well-known brands including Time Inc. and Macys.com. This experience allows her to quickly contribute to any collaborative environment and her heightened empathy for users consistently produces design solutions that delight.
Away from the office, Alanna enjoys spending time with family and friends, trying new restaurants and coffee shops, and going to the beach. She loves to learn, and outside of learning the latest UX trends, she also keeps up on personal finance, fashion, and health and wellness.
