Dana is a "people" person who loves the arts. Growing up in Memphis, Tennessee, Dana has a profound appreciation for music, specifically the “Kings” – B.B. and Elvis, that is.
She loves being part of a team and taking a creative approach to solving problems. Her passion for brainstorming ideas and then creating something that delights all that use it, led her to seek a career in UI/UX.
Her career actually took a turn toward design after she obtained her degree in web development and design, and then worked as a developer under a Lead UX Designer. Even though Dana enjoyed the challenge of coding, she learned that design was where her passion lied. With her background in development, Dana quickly learned that as a UI/UX designer, she is able to add tremendous value since she understands the complexity of how her designs will need to be implemented in a production environment.
Dana believes the best kind of job is the job you would do even if it wasn’t your job, and this is what she found with design. Chasm is now the place where she is putting this philosophy to work.
When Dana isn’t working, this wife and busy mother of two, is likely to be found enjoying the Florida lifestyle with her family – or eating guacamole, possibly with pretzels. She loves kayaking, scuba diving and swimming, along with listening to good music and reading – preferably historical fiction.
