Growing up in New Delhi India, Lalit always had a curiosity for how things worked. As a child, one of his favorite things to do was break open his toys to understand how they worked. This interest propelled him to study and receive his bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from the Delhi college of Engineering, New Delhi and then a master’s in Product Design from the renowned Indian Institute of Science (IISc).
Lalit has a unique ability to evaluate designs from both an artistic and analytical perspective. From storyboards to detailed sketches, his remarkable talent for illustration allows him to quickly capture ideas in a visual format for discussion and refinement. However, when you need to get the information architecture just right, his left-brain kicks into gear to generate detailed interaction flows. But it doesn’t stop there. Lalit is a multidisciplinary designer and his affinity for art, science and technology allows him to push the boundaries of creativity to design things most people can only imagine.
Since 2013, Lalit has led, designed, and developed enterprise applications for desktop, web and mobile consumption within the Engineering and Architectural industry. Prior to that, he spent 4 years as part of the GM Global User Experience team developing HMI (Human Machine Interface) concepts for various GM brands including Cadillac, GMC, Chevrolet, and Opel.
When he’s not tirelessly advocating for users, Lalit enjoys sketching, painting, and cooking. However, his top pick is spending time with his wife and son.
